Alive + Well Counseling, LLC
Kris Shoresman, LGPC

Kris is a former high school English teacher turned therapist who strives to foster a safe, supportive environment of healing. She works with both adolescent and adult clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, and neurodivergence. Kris has additional experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients, artists, and those who work in the helping professions. She is passionate about working with first- or second-generation immigrants and about integrating expressive arts into her therapy practice, and she is also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through a relational, trauma-informed approach, Kris is here to support you as you explore your emotions and set boundaries. My goal is to help you develop new perspectives, strengthen your coping skills, and reconnect with yourself and others.
Kris received a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education and English Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary.
In her free time, you will find Kris playing fetch with her rescue dog, adding books to her to be read list, and finding new crafts to learn.
